Monetary and Financial Stability

The Monetary and Financial Stability section analyzes issues related to financial stability and the operation of financial institutions and markets. Key areas of specialization include the collection and evaluation of information on financial institutions, methods of assessing stress in financial markets, and assisting in the formulation and implementation of policies regarding Reserve Banks' credit and risk management. Section economists analyze financial developments for the Board and the FOMC and engage in a broad range of longer-term research projects.
