Papers Projects

Library bookselves are full of literary and historical voices of the past thanks to NEH-supported editions of the correspondence and papers of leading historical and literary figures.

The Presidents

Ten presidential papers projects are underwritten by NEH, from George Washington to Dwight David Eisenhower. The Washington and Eisenhower papers have each leveraged more than $1.8 million in nonfederal contributions. These projects are complex undertakings that often require the collaboration of teams of scholars. Presidential papers projects include:
