Announced: July 2001
Included in this list are grants to jurisdictions that are part of the
Extending the Reach initiative, a new series of funding opportunities
designed to spread the support of the National Endowment for the Humanities
to selected jurisdictions and constituencies throughout the United States.
In fiscal year 2001 the NEH offered Extending the Reach grants to support
humanities initiatives in the following jurisdictions: Alabama, Alaska,
Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio,
Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. Special consideration
was given to applications for NEH Preservation Assistance Grants from
institutions in these U.S. states and territories.
