Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview: Flammable liquid and vapor. This material is a clear liquid with a solvent type odor and flash point of 60oF. This material may be harmful or fatal if swallowed. May cause eye irritation. May cause skin and respiratory tract irritation. May be harmful if inhaled.

POTENTIAL ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS
Eye: Exposure may cause eye irritation. Symptoms may include burning, stinging, tearing, and redness.
Skin: May cause skin irritation or a burning sensation. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin to become reddened, rough and dry due to the removal of natural oils and may result in dermatitis.
Ingestion: May be harmful or fatal if swallowed. Swallowing this material may cause gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) and central nervous system depression (dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, unconsciousness). May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract with vomiting. This material may pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal.
Inhalation: Vapor may be harmful. Inhalation may cause nose, throat and respiratory irritation. May affect the brain or nervous system causing dizziness, headache or nausea. Excessive inhalation may produce symptoms of central nervous system depression, ranging from dizziness, headache, mental confusion, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. Persons with angina or other cardiovascular diseases should not be exposed to this product.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. Persons with pre-existing skin disorders or eye problems or impaired liver or kidney function may be more susceptible to the effects of the substance. Alcoholic beverage consumption can enhance the toxic effects of this substance.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
This material is not considered a carcinogen by IARC or NTP and is not regulated as a carcinogen by OSHA.
Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents may be harmful or fatal.
First Aid: From MSDS
Eye contact: In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact: In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion: If swallowed contact a physician, poison control center, or hospital emergency room immediately. Do Not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. This material may pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, monitor breathing for difficulty. Treat symptomatically and supportively. If the patient is conscious, wash out mouth with water and give 200 -300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. NEVER GIVE ANYTHING BY MOUTH TO AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSEN.
Inhalation: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical attention immediately. If breathing is difficult, have trained person administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Handling/Disposal
Handling: From MSDS
Handling: Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Do not smoke. Turn off and extinguish all flames and pilot light on stoves, heaters, water heathers, etc. Disconnect all electric motors and other sources of ignition during use and until all vapors are gone. Open containers carefully and close after each use. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean or discard contaminated shoes. Do not use pressure to empty containers. Containers, even those that have been emptied; will retain product residue and vapors. Always obey hazard warnings and handle empty containers as if they were full. Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. Prevent the build-up of vapors by opening windows and doors to achieve cross-ventilation. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. Storage: Store away from heat, sparks and flames. Do not store near oxidizers. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from incompatible materials. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Vapors of this product are heavier than air and will collect in low places, such as pits or degreasers or other poorly ventilated areas. Do not enter places where vapors are suspected unless special respirator protection is worn and an observer is present. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
