Nature
Walks!
Saturdays & Sundays, 1pm & 2pm
Join us for a 30-minute nature walk on Saturdays
at 1:00 pm and a second walk at 2:00 pm to learn about
the local plant life, wild life and some very interesting
historical facts. Great activity for families and individuals
who want to gain a greater appreciation for our National
Forest. Nature walks are not strenuous and designed
for all levels of physical conditioning.

All tours are led by a Discovery Center Naturalist.
You will learn the rich Natural History of the Big Bear
Valley along with the amazing flora and fauna present
in the San Bernardino Mountains and the role the forest
plays in your everyday life.
Prices range from $10-$35 per/adult and $5-$25
per/child.
Private tours are available for a group of 8 to 13.

go Snowshoeing!
Come celebrate our winter wonderland by playing in it!
The Discovery Center is offering guided snowshoe tours
this winter for visitors and residents to explore scenic
areas around Big Bear Lake. A Naturalist will lead you
through the forest where you will learn about winter
ecology and natural history of the valley. Suitable
for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Meet
at the Big Bear Discovery Center. Snowshoes and additional
transportation are provided. Call or check our website
for details. Reservations recommended; space limited
to 12.

Eagle
Tours
Come view the Bald Eagles in the San Bernardino National
Forest! On this tour, you will become an expert on eagles
and most likely will see one in the wild! This exploration
begins with a presentation at the Discovery Center that's
full of interesting facts and beautiful photographs.
Afterwards, you will board a van for a 2-hour tour around
the lake looking for eagles along the way. Along with
eagle spotting, you will also learn some fascinating
local history while keeping your "eagle eyes"
out for other native wildlife. Snacks, water, telescopes
and binoculars are provided. Space is limited to 12,
reservations are recommended.
