Conference celebrates discovery of neutrino

Laboratory Director Mike Anastasio, right, talks with Santa Fe Mayor David Coss and Tom Bowles, chief scientist, before the start of the Neutrino 2006 Conference on Wednesday morning in the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe. The conference, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the neutrino, features talks, breakout sessions, poster sessions and public lectures covering the latest developments in neutrino physics, astrophysics and related topics. Anastasio and Bowles gave opening remarks while Coss welcomed conference participants to Santa Fe. The conference continues through next Monday. For more information on the conference, click here.
