This is one of the most exciting Hostas to come along in some time. The foliage is dark green with a broad, wavy margin of pure white, creating an especially strong and highly visible contrast. It quite literally brings light to shade. Plants grow vigorously to 15-20in tall and nearly twice as wide, and throw lavender flowers on 26-30in scapes in August. 'Patriot' is a sport of the widely admired 'Francee', which we offered for many years. It fetched $875 per plant at its much anticipated debut in 1992. Thankfully, the price has dropped a bit since.
