Shaped by the staggering force of massive glaciers millions of years ago, Alaska’s Inside Passage boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery — habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. Its mountains are carpeted with majestic forests. Inside Passage Alaska is home to Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian Indians whose history is reflected in towering totem poles. Russian settlers left a legacy of onion-domed churches gleaming with icons.

I cruised the Inside Passage, going to Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan, and sailing through Tracy Arm. I especially enjoyed the glaciars, Mendenhall near Juneau, and Sawyer at Tracy Arm. I also enjoyed riding the White Pass and Yukon Railroad through the mountains near Skagway. It was a great trip. Everyone should go to Alaska at least once. I would love to go back and see more. We spent our 30th anniversary in Alaska just like we wanted to!!! We cruised from Vancouver to Whittier then returned by the Alaska Marine Highway System from Whittier to Wrangell then flew home.
