The Laboratory's new chemical inventory system becomes operational next Wednesday, Aug. 28. The current Automated Chemical Inventory System (ACIS) will close down at 4 p.m. on Monday. There will be no inventory system on Tuesday while data is transferred to the new system.

"This new system provides improved Laboratorywide management of chemical information and container inventories," said Bill Hargraves of Industrial Hygiene and Safety (HSR-5). "Further functionality and reporting will then be added over the next few months," he added.

The new chemical management system can be accessed at http://www.cm.lanl.gov/ex3/ online.

Training for this new system can be found at http://www.ex3.com/lou online.

For more information about the new system, contact Hargraves at 7-7807 or write to billh@lanl.gov by electronic mail. Or see the June 26 Daily Newsbulletin.
