Molecular Microbiology |
| DVR's molecular microbiology laboratory performs PCR analysis to detect microbes that may contaminate and infect animal facilities and laboratories. Additionally, it performs genotyping, DNA fingerprinting, transgenic detection and other molecular microbiology protocols (e.g., differential display, subtractive hybridization, various blots, etc.) at the request of intramural investigators. The laboratory is always ready to accept the challenge of developing diagnostic tools to detect newly emerging microbal contaminants and infective agents anf for collaborative research assitance. |
