San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation
The culmination of 21 years of dreams and hard work,
the Museum opened its doors on October 31, 1998. More than 740
volunteers gave over 19,000 hours of their time. Over 16,000 became
members. About 1,000 individuals, foundations, and businesses
donated both cash and in-kind contributions. Collaboration defined
the spirit that went into the 132,000-square-foot mango and azure
technology center in downtown San Jose. Its goal: to inspire the
innovator in everyone. The Tech is moving from a successful launch
to become an integral part of Silicon Valley life.
Project documentation includes the 1998 Annual Report
of The Tech Museum of Innovation, a brochure outlining public
programs for the spring/summer of 2000, promotional flyers and a
poster for Museum events, a copy of a magazine article and a
videotape about The Tech.
