Environmental Education
Sandia's Environmental Outreach Program reaches out to the community at large. Presentations and information booths on both local and national environmental issues and concerns are held at community centers, environmental conferences, and on-site at Sandia.

The Environmental Outreach Program is available to provide local elementary, mid, and high schools an education program that gives students information about aspects of their environment such as air, solid waste, water, groundwater and terrestrial relationships.

The Sandia Lab's Environmental Outreach Program coordinates the Annual Youth Conference on the Environment, which is a one-day event for high school science students and environmental clubs that are interested in learning about environmental issues in New Mexico.

The Environmental Outreach Program also focuses on "Inreach" to the members of the workforce at Sandia by holding awards ceremonies and a lecture series to recognize individuals or teams that demonstrate exemplary advancements that contribute to the vision of Sandia's Environmental Management System.
