Description: For-Profit organizations have a unique structure, from their mission, to their organizational structure, to their style of ownership. Understanding our customer gives us an appreciation for their talents and limitations and helps us to understand how difficult interfacing with the NIH must be. As liaisons between for-profits and NIH, we must maximize the quality of the exchange, and facilitate that process by assessing these talents and limitations. Come meet Dr. Martin MacPhee, Vice President of Clearant, Inc. Dr. MacPhee will introduce us to how his company runs, what resources he has to meet our requirements and the challenges he has faced in doing so. Dr. MacPhee is an engaging speaker with extensive research experience in a for-profit, non-profit and university environment. Leanne Robey from DFM will complement this presentation by applying an analysis of the for-profit organization, and using NIH guidelines and principles, to provide a full picture of the grantee as a fundable entity
