From Virginia and All Points South of Washington, DC
- Take I-95 North toward Washington, DC
- Merge onto I-495 North (Capital Beltway), toward Silver Spring/Bethesda
- Merge onto I-270 North (Exit 38) Note: I-495 splits, stay to the left
- Take Exit 1 (Democracy Blvd.)
- Bear right onto Democracy Blvd. (headed east)
- Turn left at the first light onto Fernwood Road
- Turn left at the next light (you will see signs for the Marriott)
- Take the first left (you will see a parking garage on your right)
- Take a right at the first stop sign.
- Follow signs for visitor parking. (DO NOT use the Marriott parking garage)

From Baltimore and Points North of Washington, DC
- Take I-95 South toward Washington, DC
- Merge onto I-495 West (Capital Beltway), toward Silver Spring/Bethesda
- Take Exit 26 (MD 187 N/Old Georgetown Road)
- Take the ramp toward Rockville
- Merge onto MD 187 N/Georgetown Rd
- Turn left onto Democracy Blvd.
- Turn right onto Fernwood Road
- Turn left at the next light (you will see signs for the Marriott)
- Take the first left (you will see a parking garage on your right)
- Take a right at the first stop sign.
- Follow signs for visitor parking. (DO NOT use the Marriott parking garage)

- Take I-270 South toward Washington, DC
- Take Exit 1 (Democracy Blvd.)
- Turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp onto Democracy Blvd.
- Turn left at the first light onto Fernwood Road
- Turn left at the next light (you will see signs for the Marriott)
- Take the first left (you will see a parking garage on your right)
- Take a right at the first stop sign.
- Follow signs for visitor parking. (DO NOT use the Marriott parking garage)

- Head North on the George Washington Parkway for approximately 5 miles.
- Exit onto I-495 North (Capital Beltway), toward Silver Spring/Bethesda

- Head east on the Dulles Airport Access Road for approximately 13 miles.

By MetroRail From the NIH Main Campus
- The NIH Main Campus is accessible by Metro. Shuttle service is available to off-campus locations. (Metro System Map)
- Take the Red Line to the Medical Center stop.
- After getting off the escalators got straight all the way to the last bus stop
- Take the Rockledge Shuttle and Democracy II will be the last stop. (NIH Shuttle Map and Schedule)
