Begonias are warm-climate plants from a huge genus, most of which are valued for their ability to provide long-lasting color in shady or low-light situations. Some throw large, lush flowers in extravagant colors (see our Blackmore & Landon strains), others make their statement with beautifully marked foliage that has the beauty of flowers but lasts longer (see Rex Begonias), and the best recent introductions offer compelling fragrance as well. All Begonias want good drainage, moderate temperatures, and protection from direct sun. Please take a few minutes to view our video, "How to Grow Tuberous Begonias."
