Biography of Anne Campbell Dudro
Chief of Staff

photo of Anne Campbell Dudro Anne Dudro serves as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education, where she oversees and manages the office's activities, policies, and programs.

Prior to this appointment, Mrs. Dudro served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Postsecondary Education, at the Department, where she provided strategic policy guidance in the areas of college aid, international education, and teacher training. Mrs. Dudro joined the Department in February of 2005, as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Education. Additionally, Mrs. Dudro was appointed a member of the U.S. Delegation to the 33rd General Conference of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) in October of 2005.

Before joining the Department, Mrs. Dudro served in two staff positions at the White House from February 2002 to February 2005. Working directly for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Mrs. Dudro assisted in the coordination and management of four policy councils, and the presidential policy development process. Previously, Mrs. Dudro served in the Office of Speechwriting, where she worked with senior communications and policy advisors to ensure accurate reflection of Administration policies. Mrs. Dudro started her career at the political consulting firm American Continental Group.

A native of New York, Mrs. Dudro earned her bachelors degree in government from Saint Lawrence University. Mrs. Dudro and her husband reside in Northern Virginia.
