- The 1996 National Education Summit (site disabled) features background papers, articles, and other information (including a discussion forum) on
standards and technology, two key issues at the two-day meeting
attended by 41 governors and 49 corporate leaders in Palisades, New
York, on March 26-7.
- Developing Content Standards: Creating a Process for Change (October 1993) is a policy brief from the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE).
- The American Federation of Teachers offers position papers on standards, a state-by-state progress report on setting standards, excerpts from exams taken by students in other countries, and more.
