ACCOMPLISHMENTS

    • Optimized pump design performance and economical production
    • Developed drivers for magnetically operated centrifugal pump
    • Developed test bed for performance and long term reliability testing

COMMERCIALIZATION
    • Working with the Hershey Medical Center of Pennsylvania on a left ventricular assist heart pump under a $2.4 million National Institute of Health grant
    • Under contract with the Naval Center for Space Technology to develop pump for cooling electronics in space applications
    • Received support form the NASA Glenn Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative to investigate pump fluid dynamics
GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE APPLICATIONS
    • Promising technology for future NASA application where long service life is a factor
