Nano-Scale Tungsten Oxides Materials and Synthesis

Abstract
Sheets of tungsten oxide (both WO3 and WO2 forms) with a thickness of ~10nm and diameter of ~100nm have been fabricated by a low cost water-based technique.

• Pigments Grain refiners in powder metallurgy
• Catalysts Thermites
• Lead-free primers

Advantages

• High surface area (>150m2/g)
• Low cost, scaleable processing method
• Ability to make either oxide of tungsten
