Continuous Air Monitor Filter Changer Apparatus

Abstract
This invention was created to meet the need for an automated filter changing capability for a continuous air monitor (CAM), especially LANL's Alpha Sentry CAM.  The cartridges are loaded with pre-cut filter paper.  Following initiation of the filter change process, all subsequent filter changes are executed automatically under the control of the embedded controller.  Filter change can be initiated by the user or by the detection of a condition such as unacceptably low flow using the built in flow meter signal.
