Due to funding availability, NASA has selected an additional ten research
proposals for negotiation of Phase 2 contract awards for NASA's Small
Business Innovation Research (SBIR) 2002 Program on March 25, 2004.
The combined award total for the ten Phase 2 contracts is expected to
be $6 million.
NASA initially selected 145 research proposals for negotiation of Phase
2 contract awards for NASA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
2002 Program on October 6, 2003. The goals of this NASA program are
to stimulate technological innovation, increase the use of small business
(including women-owned and disadvantaged firms) in meeting federal research
and development needs, and increase private sector commercialization of
results of federally funded research.
