The Times, President Bush and the Financial Crisis

On Sunday, The Times took a look at President Bush’s role in helping to inflate the housing bubble by pushing for expanded home ownership and little regulation, which the newspaper said encouraged lax lending standards.The White House and some readers reacted furiously.
