Synthesis of Carbon Nanotube Cotton
Abstract
This invention describes a technique for synthesizing carbon nanotubes which results in a "pile" or "mat" of individual nanotubes.
Application(s)
This invention has applicability to all applications (structural, electronic, biological) where individual carbon nanotubes need to be consolidated into fibers/threads.
Advantages
The availability of carbon nanotubes in "pile" or "mat" form make possible the use of traditional spinning equipment to create fibers/threads.
IP Status: Available both Exclusively and Non Exclusively
