Partners

Through the GREEN program, Earth Force has a train-the-trainer model for watershed organizations, nature centers and other local environmental nonprofits throughout the country. Partners then work with educators in their watershed to help lead their classes through watershed improvement projects. Many partners are part of the General Motors GREEN program, where GM staff serve as mentors to educators to help with project support.

Northeast

Delaware Nature Society The Delaware Nature Society fosters understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of the natural world through education, preserves ecologically significant areas, and advocates stewardship and conservation of natural resources. Partner since 2004.

Southeast

Shreveport GREEN Shreveport Green is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the city's environment and enhancing its economy through public education and community beautification, litter abatement, and recycling projects. Partner since 2001.

Tennessee Environmental Council The mission of the TN Environmental Council is to educate and advocate for the protection of Tennessee's environment and public health. Partner since 2001.

Western KY University Center for Math, Science and Environmental Education The center was established to work in partnership with university and school personnel, as well as other members of the community, on teacher training, program development, regional service, and research. Partner since 2005.

Dunwoody Nature Center The Dunwoody Nature Center in Doraville, GA is a nonprofit organization established by community volunteers in 1990 to develop, improve, and preserve twenty-two acres of DeKalb County’s Dunwoody Park as a natural classroom for environmental education. Partner since 2004.

Midwest

Ohio DNR Stream Quality Monitoring Program The Division of Natural Areas & Preserves protects natural areas with ecological and/or geological significance. Partner since 2006.

Youngstown State University - Mahoning River Watershed The goal of the Mahoning River Education Project is to create an institutionalized process between Youngstown State University, local school districts, and community agencies & organizations by which students across disciplines learn about their watershed, its history, current condition, future and how its condition affects our collective quality of life and economic vitality. Partner since 2002.

Hoosier Riverwatch Hoosier Riverwatch is a state-sponsored water quality monitoring initiative. The program was started in 1994 to increase public awareness of water quality issues and concerns by training volunteers to monitor stream water quality in Indiana. Partner since 2003.

Leslie Science Center The Leslie Science Center provides natural science and environmental education opportunities for youth and their families. The Center is situated on 50 acres of fields, woods and prairie in the heart of Ann Arbor, MI. Partner since 2004.

U of M Exhibit Museum of Natural History The Exhibit Museum of Natural History is promotes the understanding and appreciation of the natural world and our place in it by offering educational programs and exhibits for the benefit of the University community, school groups, and the general public. . Partner since 2004.

Flint River Watershed Coalition The Flint River Watershed Coalition in Flint, MI is a collaboration between educational institutions, local government, local business, environmental groups and concerned citizens who feel strongly that the Flint River and its tributaries are a vital resource that needs to be protected from pollution. GREEN participant since the early 1990s.

Woldumar Nature Center Woldumar educates people about the natural environment through programming including camps, field trips and river studies in Lansing, Michigan. GREEN participant since the early 1990s.

The Maumee RAP (Remedial Action Plan) The Maumee RAP (Remedial Action Plan) is a partnership of citizens, government agencies, businesses and industry working to restore the health of our streams in the Maumee Area of Concern (Toledo, OH area). Partner since 2004.

Friends of the Rouge Promotes restoration and stewardship of the Rouge River ecosystem in Michigan through education, citizen involvement and other collaborative efforts, for the purpose of improving the quality of life of the people, plants and animals of the watershed. GREEN participant since the early 1990s.

Clinton River Watershed Council The Clinton River Watershed Council is a non-profit organization in Michigan dedicated to protecting, enhancing and celebrating the Clinton River, its watershed and Lake St. Clair. GREEN participant since the early 1990s.

West Michigan Environmental Action Council WMEAC is a non-profit environmental advocacy and education organization committed to citizen empowerment based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Partner since 2006.

Bay City Science Center The Science Center delivers educational services in science to students, teachers and administrators to improve science instruction for all students in grades K-12 in Bay City, Michigan. Partner since 2000.

Saginaw Public Schools GREEN participant since the early 1990s.

Saint Charles County Environmental Services Environmental Services protects public health in St. Charles, Missouri by minimizing pollution, providing environmental education, and by conserving our natural resources. Partner since 2003.

Rock River Coalition (RRC).  The RRC provides opportunities for people of diverse interests to work together to improve the environmental, recreational, cultural and economic resources of the Rock River Basin.  A GREEN partner in Wisconsin since 2007.

West

FrontRange Earth Force Front Range Earth Force in Denver, Colorado engages youth in solving real problems in their schools, community and environment. GREEN participant since 2003.
