Rocky Mountain Sustainability Summit - Wednesday, February 11, 2009
Location: University of Colorado at Boulder
The 2009 Rocky Mountain Sustainability Summit (RMSS) will provide a learning and networking forum for participants from campuses in the Rocky Mountain region (CO, NM, UT, WY, MT, ID, AZ) to advance sustainability. RMSS 2009 will help students, faculty, staff, administrators, community members and state leaders learn from each other, replicate successful initiatives and innovate effective programs to make the region's higher education institutions national leaders in campus sustainability and climate action. The summit will feature plenaries by leading experts, campus administrators and government officials, a Green Products Expo, numerous sessions, workshops and facilitated discussions and great speakers. Lindsay Creek Restoration Volunteer Event - Saturday, March 14, 2009: 10:00-2:00pm
Location: Lindsay Creek, Lewiston, ID
Come and get your hands dirty at Lindsay Creek! The day at our restoration site will consist of planting and site maintenance. We will meet at the Lindsay Creek site at 10:00am. Rose Creek Celebration and Volunteer Event - Saturday, March 28, 2009: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Rose Creek Nature Preserve, Albion, WA
Come celebrate with PCEI! After three years of managing the Rose Creek Preserve for the Nature Conservancy (TNC), the TNC has officially transferred the land to PCEI. The celebration will include a brief ceremony as we install the new sign. After a toast with hot drinks, we will spend the rest of the day cleaning up the Preserve. 5th Annual Pullman Stream Clean Up - Saturday, April 11, 2009: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Pullman, WA
Join PCEI for the 5th Annual Pullman Stream Cleanup. The cleanup will take place in conjunction with Cougar Pride Days on the South Fork Palouse River and Missouri Flat Creek within the city of Pullman. Join us at Spring Street Park in Pullman at 10:00am to kick off the event. We will beautify Pullman’s waterways until 2:00pm when refreshments will be served. *Please wear work clothes and sturdy shoes. Be prepared for both sun and cold weather. 19th Annual Paradise Stream Clean Up - Saturday, April 25, 2009: 9:00am-1:00pm
Location: Paradise Creek
Celebrate Earth Day by joining PCEI as we host the 19th Annual Paradise Creek Stream Clean Up on April 25th. The clean up will start at 9:00 am and participants will meet at the PCEI Nature Center. Please visit our webpage for directions. We encourage you to carpool or use alternative transportation to get to PCEI. Groups will then walk, bike or carpool out to the designated clean up sites from there! We will supply bags and gloves, but come prepared to get dirty. Wear sturdy shoes and several layers in case it is cold and rainy. A free pizza lunch will be provided back at the PCEI Nature Center after the clean up.
