The project is directed at promoting public access to information and strengthening public participation in decision making on pollution reduction in the Danube River Basin.

The project is funded by the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and co-funded by the Trust for Mutual Understanding (TMU).
