Combustion-Driven Supersonic Flow Facility

Facility Description

The Combustion-Driven Supersonic Flow Facility consists of a gas- or liquid-fuel-burning supersonic wind tunnel with a 5,000 cubic feet per minute pumping capacity at 30 tour with temperatures up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit. Our facility has a full range of advanced laser diagnostics to study jet aircraft exhaust nozzle flow fields as relating to infrared signatures.
