Our Program Mission
The Community Food Systems program fosters citizen participation in the development of local food systems that support regional family farmers and fulfill local citizens' food and fiber needs while enhancing the health of local ecosystems.

PCEI's Community Food Systems Program seeks to build leadership and facilitate dialogue among producers, urban consumers, business people, and personnel from university extension and government agencies. It also seeks opportunities to enhance farmer-consumer collaboration on food and agricultural issues.
