Refuge Internships

Currently, there are no internships available on either Lower Suwannee or Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuges. Check back for updates.

Internships on Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge are designed with the current needs of the refuge and the skills, abilities and interests of the intern in mind. If you're interested, you may contact the refuge office to discuss the possibilities. If you're willing to work, there's likely a place for you!

Possibilities include Biology, Forestry, Visitor Services, and Fire Management. Housing and a small food stipend ($15-20 per day) are provided; interns typically work with a staff member 40 hours each week.

If you're interested in participating in an internship on Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, please contact Pam Darty or call 352/493-0238 x223. Space is limited, so please apply early.
