Hunting Opportunities

Hunting of big game, small game, and waterfowl is permitted during designated seasons. Deer, turkeys, and feral hogs are the most sought-after species. Hunting license and stamps are required in accordance with State regulations. A Hunt Brochure is also required. Special quota hunts for youth hunters, deer, and feral hogs are offered. Check with the Refuge Headquarters for additional hunt information.

The first Hunter Working Group Meeting is planned for April 22, 2008 at 6:00 PM. It will be held at the refuge headquarters off of highway 347, a mile south of Fowler's Bluff and 19 miles north of Cedar Key. RSVP if possible by calling the Ranger at 352/493-0238, ext223.
