The advancement office sponsors several special events each year:

Parents' Weekend -- Parents' Weekend (October 17-18, 2008) offers the families of students the opportunity to get acquainted with the campus, meet professors and enjoy recreational activities together. Each fall about 1,000 guests take advantage of this opportunity to attend a music festival, theater production, sporting events, classes and enjoy special meals with their Dordt College student.

Netherlands tour -- Dordt College in cooperation with Witte Travel and Tours will host a 10-day tour of the Netherlands May 11-20, 2009. The itinerary includes the Keukenhof National Flower Exhibition; a canal cruise through the city of Amsterdam; a tour of dikes and sluices; a Delftware factory; tours of the Corrie ten Boom and Anne Frank homes and a Jewish Historical Museum; and a concert at Dordrecht, featuring the Dordt College Choir performing in the Netherlands on a European tour. Hosts and guides are Dordt College professors, Leendert van Beek and Hubert Krygsman.

Day of Encouragement -- an annual day-long event in February designed to inspire, encourage, and equip God's people for ministry.

Dordt Discovery Days -- June 23-27, 2008. A great combination of learning and fun at the end of June for students entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Each Discovery Days week offers more than 20 courses for youth with a wide range of interests, including engineering, art, drama, music and sports. Information about the 2008 Discovery Days will be posted at a later date.
