Wildland fire activity remains light throughout the states. Eight large fires were reported and seven were contained. Two large fires remain active: one each in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Weather: Dry weather conditions with gusty winds and low humidity are predicted for eastern New Mexico, western and central Texas, and western Oklahoma. Low humidity and gusty winds are expected in the southeastern states. Low humidity will return to Florida and Georgia. Southern California is forecasted to have warm, dry, and windy conditions this weekend.
