Here are a few things that make us stand out:

  1. Job Placement: Maui CC was the winner of the national 2008 Bellwether Award in the workforce development category. Maui CC was recognized for our efforts related to sustainability and workforce development. Maui CC partners with many Maui businesses to provide internships and job placement for our students.
  2. Low Cost/Transfer Options: If you plan on earning a bachelor’s degree, spending your first two years at Maui CC will save you thousands of dollars versus the cost of attendance at a four-year university of college. Many of our credits and programs transfer to colleges throughout the US. Students who earn an articulated Associate in Arts degree will be accepted as having fulfilled the general education requirements at all other University of Hawaii campuses.
  3. High Technology: Students in Maui CC’s Electronic and Engineering program now have access to a Supercomputer thanks to a gift from IBM. We are the only community college in Hawaii to have this technology available to students.
  4. Environmental Awareness and Sustainability: Maui CC is committed to sustainable practices and the development of additional sustainability programs. With Maui’s diverse ecosystem and yearlong wind, sun, and water resources, Maui CC is the ideal place to study renewable energy and the environment.
  5. Location: Frequently voted as the #1 island in the world, Maui is a beautiful and culturally diverse location ideal for an educational environment. Maui CC is located directly across from the ocean in the centrally located town of Kahului. In addition, Maui CC is close to numerous shops, restaurants, the airport, and public transportation routes.

Whether you’re attending college for the first time or coming back after years away, Maui CC can help you reach your goal through small classes, affordable tuition and convenient class times and locations.
