We have 18 sports. Our school colors are navy blue and white and we are a NCAA Division II school.

Our intercollegiate sports include:

• Men's teams: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Swimming
• Women's teams: Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball

2. Is there a weight room for athletes to train?

Catawba offers several fitness options for both athletes and non-athletes alike. There are physical conditioning and weightlifting rooms in Goodman Gymnasium, along with an indoor swimming pool, three full-size basketball courts, martial arts facilities, and raquetball courts. In the Lerner Wellness Center, there are several fitness machines for toning, aerobic exercise and weightlifting equipment. In 2002, the Hayes Fieldhouse, a 26,000-square-foot building, was added and includes a weight room and athletic training/therapy room.

3. Are students allowed to tryout for a team (walk-on) if they are not recruited, and what are the chances of making the team?

While there is a possibility for a "walk-on", this choice is really up to each individual coach. If you have a specific sport in mind, we encourage you to contact the coach for more details.

Catawba College is a Division II school.

6. Does Catawba give athletic scholarships?

Yes, Catawba gives athletic scholarships because we are a Division II school. The amount of scholarship award is left up to the coach.
