If your goal is admittance into a professional school after graduation, Dordt College graduates have had remarkable success gaining admission to the programs of their choice.

Eighty percent of medical school applicants from Dordt gained admission into professional programs, compared with a national average of about forty percent. Students in our pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-optometry, pre-occupational therapy and pre-nursing programs have had similar success in gaining admission to professional schools.

Pre-veterinary students at Dordt College have an abundance of opportunities available to them, from riding along with a local vet to interning at an internationally known embryo transplant center or veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer. Most pre-veterinary grads are accepted in the vet school of their choice.

Dordt pre-law graduates have earned exceptional LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) scores, resulting in acceptance letters from top tier law schools, including Harvard, Notre Dame, the University of Iowa, Columbia University, etc. Not only have Dordt students been accepted, but in many cases Dordt alumni have performed in the top 10 percent of their law school graduating classes.

Pre-seminary students at Dordt often major in theology, and can choose special emphases such as youth ministry, Bible education, or missions and evangelism. Other popular pre-sem choices are communication or history degrees.

And finally, two options are available at Dordt in the pre-architecture program: an art major with the pre-architecture design emphasis; or an engineering science major with the pre-architecture emphasis.
