On October 10, 2008, TACC unveiled an ultra-modern Visualization Laboratory (VisLab) capable of reproducing enormous data sets with exceptional clarity and resolution for use in science and beyond.
The 2,900-square-foot lab houses Stallion, a 20.5’ x 7.5’ display environment offering 184 million pixels, far exceeding any previous visualization system at the university – and most others around the world — as well as a host of other resources aimed at seeing science on an unprecedented scale.
