October 4, 2008

The President has signed legislation (H.R. 2638, the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act, 2009) that includes language to continue appropriations for most agencies until enactment of the applicable regular appropriations bill or until March 6, 2009, whichever occurs first. The measure, known as a continuing resolution, applies to agencies and activities that would be covered by regular fiscal year 2009 appropriations bills. The continuing resolution funds NSF at the 2008 level.
