Engineers Honored for Recovering Use of Government Satellite
The engineering team of Russell E. Averill, Marc D. DiPrinzio, Dr. Wayne P. Hallman, Robert E. Markin, Dr. Roger A. Metzler, and Ty B. Rudder has received The Aerospace Corporation’s highest honor, the Trustees’ Distinguished Achievement Award.

The award was presented by Lt. Gen. Donald L. Cromer (USAF, Ret.), chair of The Aerospace Corporation’s Board of Trustees, during a convocation held Sept. 18 at the company’s headquarters in El Segundo, Calif.

The team was recognized for “sustained excellence in recovering performance of a national security [space] program.” More
