To meet the recreational needs of Oklahoma anglers, four state fish hatcheries produce more than 30 million sport fish each year. The Sport Fish Restoration Program provides funding for hatchery operations as well as for research, aquatic education, boater access and more. Good Fish Care is Also Good for Tournaments
By educating anglers and bass tournament organizers about proper fish-care techniques, Oklahoma fishery managers hope to make future tournaments more "fish-friendly." Free weigh-in kits are now available to tournament organizers, thanks to funding from Oklahoma fishing tackle manufacturers and the Sport Fish Restoration Program.

Oklahoma's streams are key to the health of its wetlands, its fish and wildlife, and its citizens, who depend on streams to meet their water supply and hydropower needs. In recent years stream management has received increased attention and funding.
