B.S. in Business Administration

The Business Administration program provides critical knowledge of various contemporary business disciplines and methods, as well as an appreciation for contemporary business environments and cultures. The curriculum prepares you for a variety of careers in any size business, in government or in entrepreneurial enterprises. Business Administration is also a great foundation for graduate study or law school.

Business Administration is a “self-guided” major, where in addition to taking predetermined courses in the major, you select 18 semester hours of coursework from a variety of disciplines offered at the Polytechnic campus. This affords you options in technology, agribusiness, and heath and well-being.

Business Core Courses

Once all prerequisites are completed, students begin the Business Core courses, which consists of 22 semester hours in business law, finance, international business, management, marketing, supply chain, career management, and technical writing.

Business-Related Area Courses

Along with Business Core courses, students complete 18 semester hours of Business-Related Area courses. Students select Business-Related Area courses from a list of more than 60 options. This enables each student to tailor his/her program toward his/her individual career goals. The final course is the Capstone course, which is designed to integrate, extend, and apply the theories, principles, and practices learned in core courses to business problems as described in case studies or to the development of a business plan for a new venture. The major consists of 43 semester hours.
