    Kenya Collaboration with Kenya Ministry of Health. Evaluation of a portable and rapid field screening tool for early detection of aflatoxin contamination of maize among subsistence farmers in Eastern Kenya. DEHHE / HSB  
    Multiple (Burkina Faso, Mali) Personnel secondment to UNICEF by EIS Officer to organize and implement a nutritional assessment and follow-up activities in response to regional food insecurity concerns. DEEHS / IERHB  
    Multiple (Ethiopia, Kenya) For USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.  Program assessment and planning, strategy development and implementation, and monitoring of water and sanitation mitigation and response activities in response to drought and emergency conditions in the Horn of Africa.  DEEHS / IERHB

    Oman Part of IMMPaCT Program.  Assistance to country on issues related to biological sample collection and storage, laboratory analysis, quality assurance and quality control for evaluation of population nutritional status. DLS / ITNB  
    Seychelles Project headed by Rochester University.  Analysis of PCBs and pesticides in maternal and cord blood for study of exposure in Seychelles mother-infant pairs. DLS / OATB  
    Sudan Project headed by UNICEF and World Food Programme.  Anthropometric survey of Sudanese conflict-affected pregnant women and children to determine feeding program needs. DEEHS / IERHB  
    Sudan Assistance to UNICEF.  Technical advice on planning and implementation of measles immunization campaign. DEEHS / IERHB  
    Tanzania Assistance to United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.  Rapid assessment of malaria control programs in refugee camps along western border of Tanzania. DEEHS / IERHB
