Home Solar Living Center
The Solar Living Center, which serves as the headquarters for the non-profit Solar Living Institute, is a world-famous demonstration site for renewable energy, alternative fuels, green building, permaculture, and sustainable living technologies. The 12-acre Solar Living Center is located 95 miles north of San Francisco on Highway 101, approximately a two hour drive from the Bay Area.
The Solar Living Center is open seven days a week and 362 days per year (closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day) and admission is free to the general public, with donations encouraged.
Tours are available for individuals, families, students, and professionals.
Hours:
Open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Monday - Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM (7 PM - Memorial Day to Labor Day)
Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM (6 PM - Memorial Day to Labor Day)
