Employment

Naropa University’s organizational culture is casual yet professional. Our spiritually inspired and holistic approach to education permeates everything we do. Employees at Naropa make up an important component of our learning community and each of us is committed to the fulfillment of the university’s unique institutional mission.

Located in Boulder, Colorado, Naropa is on the edge of both pristine wilderness and a rich urban environment. Naropa’s location offers many recreational, cultural and educational opportunities including lectures, guest speakers, performance events, clubs, a wide variety of religious and community resources, sporting events, outdoor activities and exceptional opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

Naropa is committed to and engaged in an active process of creating an inclusive, diverse community. We ask that applicants for all our positions are committed to active participation in this growth process and have a willingness to work with people from all backgrounds.

In addition, we are committed to the principles of nondiscrimination in all terms and conditions of employment. We do not discriminate against applicants or employees on the basis of age, race, gender, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation or any other status protected by law.

We offer many benefits for both full and part-time employees; we invite you to visit our benefits page for more information.

Hiring for all open positions is coordinated through Human Resources. Qualified resumes are forwarded to the hiring manager for each individual position. The Human Resources team does not conduct individual applicant interviews or meetings.

Applications:

When applying to Naropa University please apply via email unless a hard copy is requested by the department for which you are applying or email is not possible. The email must include job position title (as seen on job posting) in the subject field and in the first sentence of your cover letter. Resumes, cover letters and other applicable information should be sent in as an attachment (zip files will be returned). Important Note: Letter of References (either by email or hardcopy) must have name of job title in the first sentence or paragraph. We save and send applicant information by job title. Reference letters without said information will be deleted.

Due to the heavy volume of applications that we receive for each of our open positions, the Human Resources team is unable to respond to individual applicant phone calls. We do maintain a policy of contacting only interviewed applicants regarding the university’s hiring decisions. If you have questions about a specific position, email us at employment@naropa.edu.

Applicants must be able to provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States within three days of hire.

If you’re interested in visiting us, we welcome you! Tours of our Arapahoe Campus, located at 2130 Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder are conducted daily at 2 p.m. by the Office of Admissions.
