This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Eddy Current Equipment which was posted on Monday, December 08, 2008. You are notified that the following changes are made.

The purpose of this amendment is to provide the technical questions with answers below that were received from interested vendors for this this procurement.

Q.) Concerning the project listed in solicitation NNM09269638Q1, does the eddy current instrument need to provide a conductivity value (IACS or MS/m), or does the instrument just need to show conductivity variation? A.) Digital readout in % IACS is required.

Q.) What is the application for the eddy current sensor? What is being measured? A.) The equipment shall perform eddy current inspection of thru-holes using motorized scanners for spinning the probes and also measure conductivity in %IACS with the same eddy current instrument. The instrument must be portable for ease of scanning.

The due date for responses is not extended and submission of quotes will remain due on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
