THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR BONDED FOIL SENSING 1000KLBS DUAL BRIDGE LOAD CELL WITH BASE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued.

The purpose of this amendment is to answer the below question asked before the RFQ close date.

Question: Will NASA and any NASA personnel receiving non-public customer and technical information from responding vendors in connection with the solicitation hold this information in the strictest confidence? Do NASA and these NASA personnel agree not to relate any non-public customer or technical information received from any potential vendor to any of the other responsive vendors or any other person, beyond those involved in the solicitation at NASA, either verbally, in documents, or in any written communication or document provision?

Answer: Proposals are safeguarded both before and after award. They are kept locked in the Contract Specialist's office. This data is considered source selection material and is safeguarded from unauthorized disclosure at all times. Any technical information from responding vendors in connection with the solicitation shall be held in the strictest of confidence. NASA personnel agree not to relate any non-public customer or technical information from any potential vendor to any of the other responsive vendors or any other person, beyond those involved in the solicitation at NASA, either verbally, in documents, or in any written communication or document provision. This is a rule we practice daily.

The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.

Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 10/02/2008. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
