Soil is the living mantle of the earth responsible for sustaining life through the production of food and fiber, and regulation of environmental quality.
Utah State has long been recognized as one of the leaders in soil science. Our department has faculty with expertise in all of the soil science specializations and offers courses in each of the following: chemistry and fertility, microbiology, genesis and classification, and physics.
