Electronically submit your documents to FERC
eRegistration: New Users must first eRegister to use eFiling.
Advance eRegistration is not required to use Quick Comment for submittal of up to 6,000 characters of text comments in P, PF, CP, PT, and ET dockets.

Filing Guide and Qualified Document List PDF (revised August 14, 2008) identifies by regulation or other requirement the submissions eligible for eFiling and the eFiling menu choice appropriate for each eligible filing. Ineligible filings are subject to rejection.

Filings not following the Submission Guidelines can not be accepted. FERC is not able at this time to accept the following file types used by Microsoft Office 2007: .docx, .docm, .xlsb, .xlsm, .xltx, .xltm, .xlam.

Text-searchable formats: All parts of a submission that are created or available in text searchable native application format must be submitted in that format or in Print-to-PDF format. Failure to provide text-searchable formats may result in a request for re-submission or rejection of the filing.

Refer to the Filing Guide and Qualified Documents List PDF (revised August 14, 2008) to determine if a document is eligible for electronic submission.

eFiling is a file attachment process. Prepare your submission in the same manner as you would if filing on paper. If you're filing in a docketed proceeding(s), the document you submit must include the docket number(s) applicable to your submission. All documents must include the name and address of the person responsible for the filing.

Privileged and Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) files may now be efiled under the appropriate Security tab on the File Upload Screen. Material subject to a Protective Order and material for which Protected treatment is requested may not be efiled.

The Commission does not accept comments or other documents on proceedings via email. There is a Quick Comment option for submitting text comments in P, PF, and CP dockets.

If you intend to file a Request for No-Action Letter, you should not file electronically. Please follow the guidelines in How to File a Request for No-Action Letter.
