Description
 
NASA/JSC has a requirement for a subscale custom inflatable habitat module with integrated window using a proprietary ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE VESSEL (UHPV) construction.

NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from Thin Red Line Inc. Thin Red Line is a small business product development and engineering company that exists solely to design and develop unique and innovative softgood products for use in challenging environments. Thin Red Line uses proprietary Ultra High Performance Vessel design, analysis, and fabrication methods that produce ultra light weight structures required to meet NASA current development needs for expandable structures.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via email to adrian.d.clayton@nasa.gov not later than 12:00 p.m. noon local time on December 24, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
