NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Process Improvement, and Project Services Contract. The contractor will be required to perform work for the Engineering Directorate in the following areas:
-Process Improvement: Develop approaches and strategies that improve division processes for Directorate Management and Staff. Review the recommendations and take into considerations Division/Office and Center product and process improvements initiatives to ensure consistency with higher Headquarters goals and directions when identifying a best-fit solution.
-Project Services: Assist in the development and provide organization of project data throughout life cycle process for Directorate Projects.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.
This procurement is an 8(a) set-aside. See Note 1.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541513 and $23M, respectively.
All responsible 8(a) sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
The anticipated release date of the Draft RFP is on or about August 22, 2008. The anticipated release date of the Final RFP is on or about October 10, 2008.
NASA/JSC will hold an Industry Day for the Process Improvement and Project Services Contract on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Gilruth Center, Lonestar Room. The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
The Government will also hold One-on-One Meetings from 1:30-4:30 on August 20th and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 21st in the Gilruth Center, Rio Grande Room. Please review Attachment 1 to this synopsis for further information regarding Industry Day and One-on-One Meetings.
