The NASA Johnson Space Center is planning to recompete the contract requirements for the JSC Information Management and Media Services (JIMMS) and JSC Enabling Technologies and Security (JETS) contracts at the Johnson Space Center. Industry is encouraged to provide comments on contract type and any other technical, business or contractual issues that should be considered by the Government. Information from industry is being solicited for the following services.
Products and services provided by this contract are required for general information technology and multimedia services supporting NASA’s human space flight programs, exploration and science programs and the Johnson Space Center institutional operations.
Major activities include:
IT Applications Services including full system life cycle support for new and existing application capabilities as well as database and database product administration.
Information Management Services including document and data management
Library and Multimedia Repository Management
Writing, Editing and Graphics
Multimedia Engineering, Installation, Maintenance, Operations and Services
Public Affairs Multimedia Services
External Relations, Information and Communications
Facility Management of IT Support Facility
General IT Systems Management
IT Network and Security Services
A restructuring of agency IT management may ultimately affect the IT related activities.
Various options exist for recompetition of the current contracts, including consolidating elements of both into a single contract or acquiring the services under separate procurements. The Government is seeking industry input regarding the acquisition strategy.
